A Few Words of Advice
From Peter Ginelli, The Creator of Crème de la Crème:
One of the most important aspects of my job as a national
skincare consultant and make-up artist for major cosmetic companies has always
been to help my clients look their best at all times. I did that in many
different ways. But if I had to pick the most effective one out of the bunch,
it would have to be the simple and yet effective little tips I would give them
that would once and for all fix a problem that no one ever thought was fixable.
I have had clients who have done everything imaginable including seeking the
help of numerous dermatologists and still no results. I am not claiming to be a
miracle worker but the majority of what most people consider big skincare
problems can easily be resolved with a few simple steps. Although simple, some
of these skincare and cosmetic tips can literally change your entire appearance
and in some cases, your whole life.
As part of my commitment in serving Ginell, Beverly Hills clients, I will also
be sharing some of these skincare and cosmetic tips with you that will make a
world of difference in looking your best. Remember, these tips can only help
you if you apply them and apply them consistently and exactly as I instruct
you. This site will be updated on a regular basis with new tips and tricks on how
to look your best. So make sure you bookmark this site and visit it often.

Women's Most Common
Skin Problems:
Do you have one of the following skin problems? Large pores?
Excessive dryness of skin? Excessive oiliness of skin? Numerous breakouts?
Pre-mature aging on parts of your skin? Tiny bumps along the hairline? Rough
skin texture? Lack of even moisture absorption by the skin?
If your answer to any one of those questions is "yes", then more than
likely you are one of those who is not following the most Cardinal rule of
skincare, the regular use of an Alcohol-free toner. In well over 90% of the
cases that I personally have come across in all my years in this business, the
most common skin problems such as the ones I just mentioned, were not caused by
any other single factor but the lack of thorough cleansing of the skin. An
alcohol-free toner is THE MOST important part of skincare. If you do not tone
your skin before applying your daytime moisturizer or night cream, you are
simply fooling yourself into believing that you are taking care of your skin,
when in reality you are just wasting your time and the investment that you have
made in your cream. Applying ANYTHING on your face without toning first is
ABSOLUTELY USELESS! Here is why:
Tone Tone Tone!
Although most women are
under the false impression that when they wash their face or take off their
makeup with a cleanser, their skin is completely clean, a cleanser is nothing
but a superficial cleaner. In fact, you don't even have to use a cleanser when
you have no makeup on (in mornings for instance). All you need to use in the
mornings, is an Alcohol-free Toner before putting on your daytime moisture
cream.
Contrary to common belief, a toner is not a skin conditioner. It is much more
than that. A Toner performs at least 3 very essential acts that no other
skincare products in the market do:
1- It deep-cleans and purifies the pores,
making sure that all pores are totally clear of leftover make-up, dirt, toxins
and other hazardous elements.
2- It scales what's known as the PH
balance, making sure that the skin is perfectly even in terms of hydration. Not
too dry, not too oily.
3- It helps penetrate your follow-up cream
deeper, more effectively and evenly into the skin. In essence and without
getting too technical, the derivatives in toners help moisturizers work deeper
and more effectively than it would otherwise be able.
So if you truly are interested in seeing results from your skin cream, TONE
before using it. It's one simple step that takes no more than 60-120 seconds
and it makes a world of difference. Just try it a few times and you will see
results.
Coming Soon:
Presently we are in the process of developing a totally
chemical free and Alcohol free Cleansing Gel and Toner. These two essential
products should be ready in the near future. Until then please remember to keep
cleansing and toning your skin before each application of Creme de la Creme for
maximum effects and healing results.
How To Tone:
Make sure the Toner you choose to purchase is absolutely
Alcohol-free, even if you have oily skin. In fact, alcohol on oily skin will
increase the oil because it is a stimulant.
Make sure to tone your skin thoroughly at least twice a day, mornings and
evenings, before applying your face cream. During summer months when the air
pollution is at its worst, try to tone 3 times a day if possible.
Lightly soak a cotton ball with toner and begin cleaning your skin gently one
section at a time. Never try using the same cotton ball soaked with the toner
all over the skin in one single try. Start with your forehead, especially at
the hairline where it is most neglected during the cleansing phase. After
cleaning the forehead, look at the cotton ball, if you see makeup or any other
discoloration on the cotton ball, get a new cotton ball and tone the same
section again. Repeat this step until the cotton ball comes out perfectly
white, free of any residue. Then start with the next section. Repeat this
procedure from the hairline all the way to the base of the neck. The reason you
should not stop at the face, is because throughout the day when you are busy
running around, taking care of your life, the body temperature rises and this
causes for your make-up to run. In fact on very warm and humid days, if you
tone the upper part of your chest (Just below your neck), you will find some of
your morning make up there as well.
Note: To be fair, we will not
recommend any Toner from any particular skincare line. We do however insist that
while shopping for a toner, you make sure it has as few chemical ingredients as
possible and even more importantly, make sure it is totally Alcohol
Free. |
